Pricing and Packaging for the 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata Revealed
Embrace the Road Ahead
News about the iconic Mazda Miata MX-5 has officially been released for the 2024 model year! Those who love the sporty drive and design of this car will be excited to hear about the latest updates. Let’s look at what’s in store for 2024 with Mazda’s MX-5 Miata!
Features Across All Variants
All variants of the MX-5 Miata feature a front-engine, rear-wheel drive layout, powered by a Skyactiv-G 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and paired with a six-speed transmission. With a horsepower of 181 at 7,000 rpm and 151 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm, these vehicles offer impressive performance!
The Sport and Club variants come with a manual transmission, while the Grand Touring gives you the option of a manual or automatic transmission. Mazda’s revolutionary Kinematic Posture Control (KPC) technology will continue to be featured in the model. This software-based suspension system ensures improved precision and confidence during high-g-cornering, allowing the MX-5 Miata to feel like a seamless extension of the driver. Best of all, this technology adds no extra weight to the vehicle.
General Updates
The new year brings a new color option, Aero Gray—a cool tone that makes the dark trim and wheels pop. The updated exterior also features headlights with an LED DRL element that marks the way forward, new LED tail lights, and a new wheel design.
Meanwhile, the roomy interior is now fitted with a bigger 8.8-inch infotainment system. Plus, with extra padding in the center console and simplified, high-contrast graphics on the gauge cluster to keep you on track, it’s all about the ride. Additionally, a first-ever for Mazda is the intuitive Alexa integration that allows for hands-free commands for HVAC, radio, and more, making it easier than ever to stay connected and in control.
Handling gets even better in this model year as well. With an electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) upgrade, your steering feels smoother and more in tune.
MX-5 Miata Sport
The base level Miata starts at an MSRP of $28,985 and comes in a black cloth soft top. Safety features include dual front airbags, side-impact airbags, and side-impact door beams. Of course, it also comes with tons of i-Activsense safety features such as Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Smart Brake Support, and Lane Departure Warning.
On the exterior, you will find metallic black 16-inch aluminum alloy wheels, dual-tip exhaust, LED headlights and tail lights, gloss black door mirrors and high-mount brake light cover, daytime running lights, variable-intermittent windshield wipers, and rear glass window with defogger.
Inside, the leather-wrapped steering wheel, with its three-spoke design, offers both comfort and functionality. It features a tilt and telescoping function, allowing owners to effortlessly find their perfect seating position. Additionally, conveniently mounted buttons on the steering wheel provide easy control over the audio, Bluetooth, and cruise control systems.
The interior also features a leather shift knob and parking brake, cloth bucket seats, a six-speaker audio system, dual USB inputs, Mazda Advanced keyless entry, climate control for optimal comfort, two removable cup holders, padded door armrest, power doors, and power windows with a convenient one-touch down feature.
MX-5 Miata Club
The next level up is the MX-5 Miata Club, starting at an MSRP of $32,485 for the soft top, and $40,210 for the retractable fastback (RF) model.
Its elevated design features a gloss black front air dam, a rear lip spoiler, black metallic 17-inch wheels, LED daytime running lights (DRL), a trunk lid-mounted shark fin antenna, and a body-color high-mount brake light cover. Inside, you will find vinyl-leather material throughout. The seats feature black suede accents in the black cloth material.
The model incorporates Bilstein dampers, a front-shock tower brace, and an enhanced Asymmetric LSD. This redesigned conical clutch LSD features a cam mechanism, enabling varying ramp angles during acceleration and deceleration. This ensures optimal yaw damping control throughout the various phases of the cornering process. Moreover, it offers a more robust lockup under engine braking, enhancing stability during corner entry and mitigating undesired oversteer. Additionally, reduced lockup during acceleration helps minimize unwanted understeer.
Enthusiasts looking to take their MX-5 to a closed circuit will appreciate a new DSC-Track feature that has been added to the model’s Dynamic Stability Control program. Drivers can decide to activate this system to practice their skills driving on-track, with brake intervention when necessary.
Wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity gives drivers and passengers the ability to connect their enabled iPhones. In addition to the features standard on the Sport, the Club offers SiriusXM satellite radio with a three-month trial subscription and Bose nine-speaker premium audio with a subwoofer and headrest speakers. With these upgrades, you can enjoy a truly premium audio experience, even when cruising with the top down.
MX-5 Miata Club With Brembo BBS Recaro Package
Take your MX-5 Miata Club up a notch with the Brembo BBS Recaro package. This elevated your ride even further with Brembo front brakes with red-painted front and rear calipers, dark gunmetal 17-inch BBS forged wheels, and heated Recaro sport seats.
This package incorporates additional design elements such as an aero kit with sleek gloss black side sill extensions and a rear bumper skirt.
The Brembo BBS Recaro Package is an option for soft top MX-5 Miata Club models for an additional $4,800. The package comes as standard on the MX-5 Miata RF Club model, distinguishable by its striking black roof. With just the press of a button, the MX-5 Miata RF can effortlessly transform from a sleek coupe to a stylish convertible, as its roof gracefully opens or closes in a mere 13 seconds. This seamless transition gives the RF an unparalleled blend of sportiness and sophistication, providing drivers with an exhilarating experience like no other.
MX-5 Miata Grand Touring
The MX-5 Miata Grand Touring maintains the exceptional performance and features of the MX-5 Miata Club while introducing additional indulgences, all while staying true to its genuine, lightweight MX-5 heritage.
This variant comes in a black soft top and a body-color RF. It adds even more advanced safety features, such as an Adaptive Front-lighting System, High Beam Control, and Traffic Sign Recognition.
Grand Touring Miatas replace the Club’s glossy black front air dam and rear lip spoiler with black and machine-finished aluminum alloy wheels. Additionally, they feature body-color heated door side mirrors with an auto-dimming driver’s door mirror, as well as door sill trim plates. The headlights come equipped with an automatic on-and-off function, while the windshield wipers are rain-sensing.
The interior accents in this version of the 2024 MX-5 Miata are bright silver. You can even upgrade your seats from standard black leather to tan Nappa leather. Speaking of seats, the ones in the Grand Touring are heated. This car also comes with a Mazda Navigation system, automatic climate control, and a frameless auto-dim rearview mirror with HomeLink.
The Grand Touring starts at $34,285 for the soft top manual transmission and $37,010 for the RF manual transmission. Automatic transmission prices are $35,205 and $37,980 respectively.
