On Thursday, May 13th, McDonald Mazda held its first New Owner Orientation and it was a huge hit with new Mazda owners. There were 24 guests that came with thier new cars and were treated to dinner, gift prizes, and a ton of information about maintainence of their new Mazda. The highlight of the evening was an actual airbag deployment demonstration in the service shop. (Look for the video on our webpage!)

12-04-09 - Mazda 2 Revealed in LA

On December 3rd at the L.A. Auto Show Mazda revealed the all new Mazda 2 making it's North American debut. The all new 2011 Mazda 2 will debut as Mazda's first vehicle in the compact C-Car market. Engineers built the Mazda 2 from scratch offering a unique driving experience combining athletic design and performance.

The highly acclaimed Mazda 2 has been on sale world wide since 2007 winning 48 automotive awards. It was awarded the prestigious "World Car of the Year" at the 2008 New York Auto Show. The Mazda 2 will hit the McDonald Mazda showroom as a 5 door hatchback (strikingly similar to the Mazda 3 hatchback) in late summer of 2010. Although exact figures are yet to be released expect the fuel economy of the Mazda 2 to peak around 40 mpg highway.

McDonald Mazda is proud to be a participating dealer in the CARS rebate program. Get up to $5,000 for your current vehicle towards the purchase or lease of a new Mazda!

The CAR Allowance Rebate System (CARS) is a $1 billion government program that helps consumers buy or lease a more environmentally-friendly vehicle from a participating dealer when they trade in a less fuel-efficient car or truck. The program is designed to energize the economy; boost auto sales and put safer, cleaner and more fuel-efficient vehicles on the nation's roadways.

Qualified consumers may participate in the CARS Program between July 1, 2009 and November 1, 2009 or when authorized funds are no longer available.

Qualified consumers will receive a credit of $3,500 or $4,500 for an eligible trade-in toward the purchase of lease of an approved vehicle under CARS Program.

Qualified consumers will receive the $3,500 or $4,500 credit at the time the purchase their new vehicle.

Dealers must provide consumers with any other advertised rebates or discounts in addition to the credit they receive through the CARS Program.

Consumers should expect to conduct their deals at their dealership of choice, not on the Internet.

Consumers should expect the dealers to provide their best estimate of the scrap value for their eligible trade-in vehicle. Dealers are allowed to deduct $50 from this value for their administrative costs.

Consumers should expect that all information collected through the CARS Program will be kept confidential. Social Security numbers are not required for a CARS transaction.

07-14-09 - 2010 Mazda Speed 3 Now Shipping!!

The design of the all-new MAZDASPEED3 evolves the model’s visual identity to create a sportier, more aggressive appearance. The result is a more emotional design that takes the sporty, agile nature of the all-new MAZDA3 5-Door to a new level.

The MAZDASPEED3 is easily distinguished from its siblings. Start at the front, where a lower air dam and round fog lights frame an organic, metallic-black grille. The hood now houses an intercooler scoop to improve charge air cooling, and the front fenders are flared to contain the car’s wider tires. From the side view, the new 18 x 7.5-inch aluminum wheel design is unique, but modeled closely on the deeply sculpted, expressive, and very lightweight 19-inch forged wheels on the RX-8 R3. Sculpted side skirts and a lower stance also give away the MAZDASPEED3’s sinister motives. From the rear, larger dual exhaust tips, a rear valance painted the same metallic black as the grille, and a larger, roof-mounted rear wing give it away.

The all-new MAZDASPEED3 continues to use Mazda’s award-winning MZR 2.3L DISI Turbo powerplant. Delivering 263 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 280 lb.-ft of torque at 3,000 rpm, it made the original MAZDASPEED3 the most powerful front-drive performance car under $25,000, and remains one of the strongest engines in its class today.
