Finally! McDonald Mazda Finds Out What Happened to the Mazda Furai Concept

When the folks at McDonald Mazda are not researching new Mazda models, concept vehicles, or technology, we enjoy kicking our feet back and watching some football. As week two of the NFL wraps up, the Denver Broncos are sitting comfortably at 2-0, with wins over the previous two Super Bowl Champions. Peyton Manning has looked more comfortable with the offense this year, and his statistics through the first two games are jaw-dropping. And while we could discuss the Denver Broncos and their high-powered offense for hours, we would like to share some news regarding an older Mazda Concept car.

Do you remember hearing about the Mazda Furai Concept car? Nicknamed, the "Sound of the Wind", this innovating concept car has created shockwaves within the automotive industry. This Mazda Concept Car features a futuristic design, and was also built to be extremely environmentally-friendly.

According to Jalopnik, Top Gear is the reason we have not heard any news since 2008! An article was recently posted to its website, stating: "Forgive us, for we have sinned. Top Gear is responsible for the untimely demise of the quite remarkable Mazda Furai Concept, and we're very, very sorry. Find out how (if that picture hasn't clued you in...) in our bumper anniversary issue, and try not to hate us too much."1

And while the team at McDonald Mazda can forgive  Top Gear this time, we will never forget the amazing concept! (You can see it here: http://www.autoblog.com/photos/mazda-furai-concept/#photo-421657/).
